Design, architecture and photography are the main topics of our favorite publications of the week: the magazine on design and architecture On Diseño, men's lifestyle magazine Numéro Homme and the self-published photobook Come Home by young photographer and graphic designer Adrián Zorzano.
On Diseño #137 Hotels and Restaurants
Design and architecture magazine On Diseño arrives to visualMANIAC's shelves with the same independent and critical approach that they have maintained since its birth in 1978. We welcome them. We couldn't agree more with their conception of design as a "proposal to improve the quality of life of the human environment." In the last issue of On Diseño, you will find some of the best projects of hotels and restaurants of the moment.
Numéro Homme #26 Culte, Automne-Hiver 2013-2014
Last week we recommended French fashion magazine Numéro and this week is the turn of its partner Numéro Homme, men's lifestyle magazine (also for women, don't get us wrong). The fall-winter issue, devoted to the idea of the "cult", opens with a piece about punk style by rock critic and musician Patrick Eudeline. Karl Lagerfeld, Pedro Almodóvar and John Waters are some of the names that you'll find in its pages this month.
Come Home de Adrián Zorzano
In visualMANIAC we are very proud of our small selection of self-published artists' books. We know there is a lot of talent out there. That's why we are always open to receive new book or zine proposals from artists, illustrators and photographers alike. One of our favorite books, Come Home, looks at the idea of home through the immense power contained in the images of young photographer and graphic designer Adrián Zorzano. A brief photo essay that will leave you wanting more.
