December 26, 2011

Christmas is not a definite colour, or season, or tree. It’s not even a forced feeling of happiness or sadness. Christmas is a place lighted with a thousand tiny lights. The end of a year that has had all its days, all its afternoons. Its dinners under the summer skies and its dawns of infinite films.

Christmas can be this seasonal selection, with songs to remember those friends we haven't seen for a while and the days we swam in the sea. So that we never forget that there are enough songs to sing at the top of our voice the three hundred and sixty five days of the year.

They keep us company:

Peggy Lee – It's Christmas Time Again
Low – Just Like Christmas
Vince Guaraldi Trio – Linus And Lucy
The Waitresses – Christmas Wrapping (Long version)
The Ramones – Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight)

Los Planetas – El Espiritu De La Navidad
Leonard Cohen – Famous Blue Raincoat
Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready – Let Me Sleep (It's Christmas Time) - Arena di Verona steps - Verona, Italy 9/16/2006
