ARCADE FIRE: Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

Any time is good to stand up and dance in front of a camera like there’s no tomorrow (even better if it’s to the rhythm of an Arcade Fire  song). If you are that kind of person that starts dancing before you’ve even heard the first chord, you are in for a real treat with this project by Vincent Morisset  and friends.

The director of the AATOAA  studio has filmed two videos -one normal and one interactive- for the song Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) , from the album The Suburbs by this Canadian band (added proof that a good album never ends). In the interactive version, the movements of your body –or of the mouse, for the shy– are the only interface, which are captured by the computer’s webcam. The characters in the video move according to the supersonic speed that the flesh and bones dancer manages to reach on the other side of the screen.

Masks, hoses, football fields, shiny suits and suburb choreographies. To dance in the digital era has never been is still as fun as always.
