TASHAKI MIYAKI: Something is better than nothing

Tashaki Miyaki (do not mistake for the film-maker Takashi Miike) is a name that works better when one is sleeping: in a state of slumber the pronunciation is almost perfect. At that very moment, the mystery is unveiled and the music starts to play, in that place where it is always summer and thirsty kids listen to Lou Reed and watch Japanese films.

The two musicians that make up Tashaki Miyaki -one per word- have emerged from shiny California, luckily for us, with songs and videos as perfect as this one to convince sceptics that everything is going to be all right (that is our mantra).

TM’s chords guarantee luminescent jellyfish, afternoons looking at a cellulose sea and the whole eternity to dive into a dark and beautiful lake in which we will swim, finally knowing that we haven’t made any mistake.
