IOU PROJECT: waving the revolution

The IOU Project is not another ordinary online shop; it isn’t either an ordinary fair-trade shop. They sell clothes over the Internet, yes, and they do it following admirable ethical and social responsible guidelines. But the IOU guys go even further: they have a secret plan to change the world.

They offer unique handmade items and the manufacturing process of each one is transparent. The fabrics used come from India –there is where it all begins– and the clothing items are tailored in Europe. On their site they tell the story behind each skirt, trouser or dress. At the end, the buyers can upload their photos with the acquired article to close the social experience circle of the purchase.

Not only they have made a beautiful video, but they also sell great clothes, are incredibly fast with the shipping and, if you are not happy with your purchase (which is unlikely), you can return it in a very easy way.

They also have a blog –highly recommended– where you can find the series of articles “Love Thy Work”, devoted to the creators that lead small daily revolutions with their creative activities. Who knows, maybe it’s not too late to change the world.
