Weekly love: INDIE Magazine and Computer Arts

By Eva Martín. November 14, 2013

It seems that this is becoming a tradition. We love when new things come to stay and so this week we are giving away 5 publications among our readers (again!). To enter the draw you just have to leave a comment on this post or click on the Feedback tab on the left side of our site and tell us if you are more into INDIE or Computer Arts magazine. As always, we'll contact the winners on Monday, who will have their title ready to enjoy on their computer, iPad or Android tablet.

INDIE Magazine

Happy 10th birthday to INDIE magazine! At this point it seems clear that it's their party, that they like to party and that they like that they like to party. To celebrate they've invited the icon P'trique to take the cake out and unwrap all the gifts, because there is nothing better than a YouTube star to liven up such an event. In the issue 40, Ten Years of INDIE Magazine, they've also shared a piece of birthday cake with Phoenix, Chloe Nørgaard, Iggy Azalea or Placebo, who go back in time to remember what they were doing 10 years ago. Besides the contents on fashion and lifestyle, illustration comes to the fore with the 10 commandments, a good excuse to unleash the creativity of INDIE's favourite illustrators.

Computer Arts

The December issue of Computer Arts raises awareness of the latest trends in the field of graphic design. Inside its pages, we can enjoy the interview with illustrator Emma Cook, who has just created her own illustration agency that aims to improve the situation of the creative industries in South Africa. This issue of Computer Arts reviews the most interesting design events of the moment and takes us to The Modern Magazine conference, the AIGA Design Conference and Semi-Permanent Stockholm, full of creative directors, visual artists and filmmakers. The campaign by Sagmeister & Walsh proposes a fresh look at facial decoration and is responsible for the cover image of this issue of Computer Arts.
